I, too, have ventured downstairs. I confess that I've largely kept clear of the areas from which the music (if you're certain that such is the intended purpose) seems to originate, as I find that my navigation remains far too reliant on the cues provided by sound. One can assume that it won't be an issue once I've reaccustomed to navigating by way of qi.
